What's included
- Removing the old fixture and installing your new one in the same box
- Connecting it to the existing wiring and switch
- Swapping switches, dimmers or outlets like for like in the same boxes
- Testing everything before the pro leaves
SnapWork swaps old electrical fixtures for new ones on the wiring that is already there: a ceiling light or fan, a wall light, a switch or dimmer, an outlet, a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm, or an outdoor light. You buy the new fixture; a pro licensed for the work installs it in the same box. New circuits, new fixture locations and panel work are not part of it. We work across Napa County and Solano County.

Every job on this page replaces something that is already wired in. If there's a light in the ceiling today, a new fan or light can go in its place. If there's nothing there, it's new wiring, and that's a job for an electrician.
Pick the fan or light you want and have it at home. For fans, check the ceiling height and blade size on the box. For dimmers, check that the dimmer works with your bulbs; mismatched bulbs flicker.
The pro turns off the breaker before touching any wires. If the wiring behind the old fixture is burned, brittle or aluminum, the pro stops and tells you; that's a repair for an electrician.
Often added to this job. Each one is optional and has its own price.
A swap on existing wiring is priced from your photo, because the ceiling height and the box decide the work. You see the price before you book.
No. A new fixture location needs new wiring, which is an electrician's job and not a swap.
Fans need a fan-rated box. The pro checks the box before hanging the fan, and if it isn't fan-rated, tells you before going further.
Electrical swaps go only to a pro who is licensed for the work. The power is turned off at the breaker before anything is disconnected.
