Appliances

Appliance swaps on the connections you already have

SnapWork installs the appliances you bought where the old ones were: a dishwasher on the existing water, drain and power, a washer and electric dryer on the existing hookups, and an over-range microwave on the outlet above the stove. Replacing old washer hoses and fridge water lines is part of it too. New gas lines, new outlets and new circuits are not. We work across Napa County and Solano County.

Same spot, same connections

Every job on this page puts a new appliance where an old one was, on the water, drain, power and vent that are already there. If the new appliance needs a different outlet or a new line, that's a job for an electrician or plumber.

Check before delivery

Measure the space and compare it with the new appliance. For a dishwasher, check that the shutoff valve under the sink turns. For a microwave, check there's an outlet in the cabinet above the stove.

Do the vent at the same time

Moving a dryer is the easiest time to clean the vent behind it. See dryer vent cleaning.

What to photograph

  • The space where the appliance goes, with the old one in place
  • The water valves, drain and outlet behind or under it
  • The new appliance's box or model label

Questions people ask

How much does it cost to install a dishwasher?

A like-for-like swap is priced from your photo, because the valves and cabinet space decide the work. Washer hose replacement has a posted price.

Do you hook up gas dryers?

No. Gas connections need a licensed plumber or the gas company.

Will you take the old appliance away?

Add debris haul-away to your request and the pro takes it. Some stores also take the old unit when they deliver the new one.

When should washer hoses be replaced?

Rubber washer hoses wear out and can burst. Many makers suggest replacing them about every five years with braided hoses.
