Trimming you can reach from the ground or a short ladder

SnapWork trims and shapes hedges and shrubs and cuts back small trees and branches that a pro can reach from the ground or a short ladder. Clippings are bagged for your green waste cart or stacked on site. Climbing, limbs near power lines, tree removal and stump grinding are arborist work and not part of it. We work across Napa County and Solano County.

The safety line

If a pro can't reach it from the ground or a short ladder, or it's near a power line, it's arborist work. That line keeps the job safe and priced fairly.

When to trim

Most hedges do well with a trim in late spring and again in late summer. Avoid heavy cuts during the hottest weeks, when plants are stressed.

Fire season

Trimming shrubs away from the house and limbing up low branches is part of defensible space. See fire-ready cleanup.

What to photograph

  • Each hedge or tree, from far enough back to see its full height
  • Any branch near a roof, wire or fence
  • Where the clippings can go

Common extras

Often added to this job. Each one is optional and has its own price.

  • Weeding & bed cleanup
  • Fire-ready property cleanup - half day
SnapWork is not an emergency service. For flooding, sewage, gas, smoke, fire, sparking or exposed wires, call 911 or your utility first.

Questions people ask

How much does hedge trimming cost?

It depends on the size and number of hedges and trees, so we price it from your photo. You see the price before you book.

Can you trim a big tree?

No. Tall trees and anything that needs climbing are jobs for a certified arborist.

What about branches near power lines?

Don't trim them yourself. Call your power company; utilities clear lines near their equipment.

What happens to the branches?

They go in your green waste cart or a neat stack on site. Add haul-away to take them off the property, or have them stacked for a county chipping program.
